SESSIONS/TRACKS

Session 1: Sports & Physiotherapy

Sports Physiotherapy deals with injuries and issues related to sportspeople. Sports injuries are different from regular injuries. Athletes require high-level performance, which stresses their muscles, joints, and bones to a limit. Physiotherapists help athletes to get quick recovery from sporting injuries, and provide education and resources to prevent problems. Physiotherapists having specific sports knowledge address acute, chronic injuries. Physiotherapy in Treatment & Care Physical therapy, rehabilitation Exercises are an instrumental tool in keeping us healthy. Just like your car, our bodies need regular maintenance to perform optimally. Physical therapy improves strength, balance, mobility, and overall fitness as well as injury prevention and treatment. Physical therapists help you restore and improve motion to achieve long-term quality of life.

Session 3: Physical therapy

Physical therapy, also known as physiotherapy, profession whose objective is to enhance movement and potential in persons with compromised physical functioning. Professionals within the field are referred as physical therapists. Often, persons who undergo physiotherapy have experienced a decrease in quality of life as a result of physical impairments or functional limitations caused by disease or injury. Individuals who often are in need of physiotherapy include those with back pain, elderly persons with arthritis or balance problems, injured athletes, infants with developmental disabilities, and persons who have had severe burns, strokes, or spinal cord injuries. Individuals with limb deficiencies are taught to use prosthetic replacement devices.

Session 4: Geriatric Physiotherapy and Chiropractic care

Geriatric rehabilitation additionally has a role in intermediate care, where patients are treated for joint, ligament, or tendon repair and, or, physical solution and recovery mind when elderly patients escape synchronizing with their medication resulting in a deterioration of their personal health which reduces their ability to live independently. The cervical spine has been debated particularly for the safety of manipulation. Adverse results, including death in the Chiropractic treatment, are rare. Chiropractors may use exercise and other treatments as advice. The chiropractic Activation method is an instrument-assisted treatment method used by chiropractors for treatment of back pain, neck pain, and headaches.

SESSION 5:  Mental health and Physiotherapy

There is also a robust association between psychological state conditions and other people reporting multiple pain sites. Not all physiotherapists realize that psychological state is all the business of physiotherapy. However, it's well illustrated within the following quotation: ‘no health without mental health'.

As health care providers, physiotherapists also are involved within the prevention and promotion of health, including psychological state with frail psychological state, chronic musculoskeletal disorders, chronic pain and psychosomatic disorders. In addition to those conditions, more severe physical diseases like cardiovascular diseases, paralysis, atrophic arthritis , hypertension, DM , metabolic syndrome, asthma, asthma/chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder (COPD), cerebrovascular diseases (stroke), obesity, epilepsy, cancer and other diseases are frequently accompanied with a ‘rollercoaster’ of emotions, feelings of hysteria and pain.

  • To improve [physiotherapy] mental health care
  • To organize specific [physiotherapy] care for different
  • To ensure access to primary [physiotherapy] care for people with mental health problems
  • To provide treatment in community‐based [physiotherapy] services for persons with severe mental health problems.

SESSION 12: Role of Physiotherapist in Covid-19

Physiotherapists (Physical Therapists) and other clinicians often have direct contact with patients, which make them susceptible to the transmission of infectious diseases. It is therefore very important for physiotherapists and other health professionals to be familiar with COVID-19 and how to prevent its transmission, and understand how they can be involved in workforce planning. They must use their professional judgment to determine when, where, and how to provide care, with the understanding this is not always the optimal environment for care, for anyone involved. At the same time, consideration must be given to the fact that our profession plays a crucial role in the health of our society, and there are people in our communities whose health will be significantly impacted by disruptions to care.

Key considerations:

  • Stay current
  • Minimize exposure in your setting
  • Get involved in workforce planning
  • Get educated - all staff should be trained

This system describes how bones are connected to other bones and muscle fibers via connective tissue such as tendons and ligaments. The bones provide stability to the body. Muscles keep bones in place and also play a role in the movement of bones. To allow motion, different bones are connected by joints. Cartilage prevents the bone ends from rubbing directly onto each otherThese diseases can be difficult to diagnose due to the close relation of the musculoskeletal system to other internal systems. The musculoskeletal system refers to the system having its muscles attached to an internal skeletal system and is necessary for humans to move to a more favorable position.

A rising elderly population and increasing allocations for research and development of new drugs is what is serving to drive growth in the global rheumatology therapeutics market. This has led to the emergence of many new drugs. Their swift approvals by the appropriate authorities have also led to the growth in the market. The global rheumatology therapeutics market will rise at a lackluster CAGR of 2.7% from 2017 to 2025 to become worth US$ 52.96 bn by 2025 from US$41.88 bn in 2016. Nearly 20% of aged people who suffer a hip fracture die within a year. One out of every two women over 50 will have an osteoporosis-related fracture in their lifetime, with risk of fracture increasing with age. The global rheumatology therapeutics market is projected to be driven by the increasing geriatric population in developed countries. Also according to world arthritis day, more than 120 million people in European Union are affected by some of the forms of arthritis. The growing geriatric population in developed countries is likely to be key driving factor for global rheumatology therapeutics market. Geriatric Rheumatology is the branch of prescription that studies rheumatologic disarranges in matured. It is likewise called Gerontorheumatology.
